It’s less than a month away ’til I head to Costa Rica for a week of yoga, health and wellness with Samana Health Retreats. So I took to the mat with my girl Julie to practice and perfect some poses before our trip. After we worked on some hip openers and lots of core strength, we got extra flexy and experimented with some yogi-boxes and acro yoga moves. I’m still trying to build more shoulder strength to help with my forearm stand and handstand (without a wall), but I’m hoping a week in the tropics where I can eat, sleep and breathe yoga will help.
